Moon Called Mercy Thompson Book
I was so pleased with this book that I immediately went looking for its sequel that will be coming out in late January of 2007. I've been searching for new 'Shifter' authors and ran across this book almost by accident and I'm so glad that I did!
So compelling and gripping that I read through it in one sitting. I have to say that of all the 'female heroes' we read about in shifter fiction, Mercy is definitely top notch and will remain at the top of my list. It's refreshing to see a new female face in the world of werewolves.
Though traditional in its concepts of Vampires, Werewolves and Skinchangers, I felt like the story, itself, was one of those rare out of the box novels that goes beyond the seedy, ridiculous sexual encounters that some authors bring to the table. With the suspense and possibility of new love interests, action and non-stop twists and turns I will -definitely- be picking up the sequel, Blood Bound, when it is due to come out.
If you're looking for a werewolf-driven book focused on a female heroine that's worthy of the title, give Patricia Briggs' 'Moon Called' a shot. Often times frightening and heart-wrenching, the page-turning suspense will keep you coming back to find out just what Briggs has in store for us. Great read!
ive read the twilight saga, mortal instruments series, chronicles of Vladimir tod,harry potter series, among the hidden(and those books), and The Host...im planning on reading the house of night series, but whats all good after that?
BalasHapusI have checked around a couple of sites and i was able to find moon called (just finished)(1st book), iron kissed(3rd book), and bone crossed(4th book) but can't seem to find the 2nd book as an ebook. I tried reading the 3rd book but after about a chapter i had no idea what was going on. Anyone know a site that has the ebook of Blood Bound or can post a link?
